Responsibilities
Professor Kim is in charge of coordinating the editing, decisions on review and publication of submitted manuscripts, and final decisions of articles to ensure that each volume and issue of the journal is published on time. To this end, the "Regulations on Review and Publication" is periodically amended, publication malpractice is managed, and relevant queries of authors and reviewers are responded to and resolved. She holds regular meetings of the editorial board to improve the quality of academic journals and holds workshops for reviewers and editors to deal with academic journal trends, ethical issues, review skills, and writing skills.
Prior experience in scientific publishing Professor Kim is a nursing scholar who has been a member of the editorial board of Child Health Nursing Research (since 2020). She currently serves as a reviewer for a number of journals, including Journal of Korean Academy of Nursing, Asian Nursing Research. She strives to publish an academic journal that publishes informative articles on child health issues around the world, and is organically working with editorial boards to do so.
Role of Editorial Board members
Responsibilities
Editorial Board members attend board meetings, suggest opinions for the qualitative improvement of the journal, and participate in important decisions related to the journal’s policies and publication. To this end, Editorial Board members can attend workshops related to editorial board and publication ethics and are expected to participate frequently in manuscript reviews. In addition, they can write editorials, recommend new Editorial Board members or reviewers, and request colleagues to submit articles to the journal. By sharing their experiences and opinions about journal editing and improving publication and editing policies, Editorial Board members help improve the journal’s quality.

Ethics Editor, Kyung-Ah Kang
Responsibilities
Professor Kang is in charge of process for managing publication malpractice. She addresses ethical issues in accordance with the flowchart provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and organizes and proceeds with an ethics committee. She adjudicates the specific reasons for rejection of manuscripts (i.e., those that involve fabrication, falsification, salami slicing, plagiarism, or simultaneous/duplicate submission) that do not follow the international ethical standards of research and publication. In addition, she discusses and adjudicates the disputes involving authorship, conflict of interest, and fundamental errors in a manuscript.
Prior experience in scientific publishing
Professor Kang is a nursing scholar who studies neonatal and pediatric care and writes books on child care. She currently serves as a reviewer for a number of journals, including Child Health Nursing Research. Her perspective on publication ethics is invaluable, given her extensive experience in editing and consulting journals.
Statistics Editor, Yong Gyu Park
Responsibilities
Professor Park is in charge of statistical review of articles published in journals. He reviews the statistical techniques of all articles published in each volume and issue and gives comments to authors in this regard.
Prior experience in scientific publishing
Professor Park has consulted on biomedical statistics for a variety of medical journals since 1984. His comments on statistics have made invaluable contributions to these journals, and he has published about 100 articles on statistical topics.
Manuscript Editor, Hyun Joo Kim
Responsibilities
Ms. Kim graduated from Sungkyunkwan University, Seoul, Korea, in 1995. She has worked at InfoLumi Co. for scientific journals since 2011. InfoLumi is a preeminent manuscript editing company in Korea and has been operating since 2009. Currently, InfoLumi provides services for more than 70 scholarly journals. Ms. Kim has also worked for PMC journals, including the Korean Journal of Family Medicine. She is one of the foremost manuscript editors in Korea.

Ms. Jang is in charge of editing the manuscript of the journal.

Ms. Jang has been the editor of Child Health Nursing Research since 2025. She participates in various editing and publishing seminars and workshops every year, and is an excellent editor of manuscripts.
Layout Editor, In A Park
Responsibilities
Ms. Park, a layout editor, is in charge of designing and producing manuscripts into PDF version. He standardizes the format of the manuscript and places tables and figures, calibrating resolution and sharpness. He also confirms the corresponding authors and the editorial department's request for revision, and completes the final PDF version.

Ms. Park has done design and editing work for a number of medical and nursing journals. He is excellent in producing PDF files.
English Editor, Andrew Dombrowski
Responsibilities
The English editor, Dr. Dombrowski, reviews every manuscript for grammatical correctness and appropriate word choice; revises the text for clarity, logical flow, and concision; checks the wording of the text to ensure appropriate strength of claims (e.g., the distinction between using causal and correlational language); and verifies that other studies in the literature are described clearly and precisely.
Prior experience in scientific publishing
Dr. Dombrowski received a joint PhD in 2013 from the University of Chicago in Linguistics and Slavic Languages/Literatures. Subsequently, he completed a post-baccalaureate health professions program at UC Berkeley Extension and has worked as a professional biomedical editor since 2015, during which time he has edited over 3,500 articles from diverse fields within medicine, ranging from public health and policy to surgical specialties and basic research. He works for 16 journals, including the following 12 PubMed Central journals: Archives of Plastic Surgery; Clinical and Experimental Reproductive Medicine; Endocrinology and Metabolism; Epidemiology and Health; International Neurology Journal; Imaging Science in Dentistry; Journal of Educational Evaluation for Health Professionals; Journal of Periodontal and Implant Science; Journal of Preventive Medicine and Public Health; The Korean Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery; Neurospine; and Ultrasonography.
Website and JATS XML File Producer, Min Young Choi
Responsibilities
Ms. Choi designs and manages the journal website. She also posts articles of each volume and issue on the website, and is in charge of producing XML files, registering DOI, and sending TOCs to members of publisher.
